Christmas and New Year

Christmas came unexpectedly soon, I was kind of not prepared at all, all my thoughts are going to the little baby, hihi. Anyway...

On the 23rd we went to Hössi's granmother Gogo to eat rotten scate. wow. Strange meal. ammonia-fish with fat that you pour over it. All my clothes and ýmir's clothes smelled of ammonia-fish afterwards. hmmm.... Oh, well at least I tried...

Christmas eve was great, we were 14 people at Unnur's place (Hössi's aunt). An enourmous pile of Xmas presents under the tree, most of them for Ýmir Jaki, the lucky b++++++. hehe.

Jakob cooked the delicious cHRISTMAS dinner, melt-in-mouth-REINDEER. oh my GOOOOD what a perfect meal! Ýmir was calm and watched us eat, nice! For dessert we had the traditional rice-cream with an almond in it with a prize for the one finding the almond. excellent. I got many nice presents and Ýmir Jaki got a HUUUUGE pile.

The most memorable gift was a state of the art DARTH VADER mask that plays his breathing sound and says "you don't know the power of the dark force..." You can wear this mask, hahhahahah, wow, how funny. Jacob was delighted with his mask.

I got a pair of flashing nipple-lights. To wear under my clothes and they blink through the fabric, hihihi. For Ýmir when it's dark I suppose.

on the 26th of December we went to another aunt of Hössi's, Anna Björk, for traditional smoked lamb (hangikjöt). There were loads of guests there as well. 27th of December we went to the baptism of Hulda Liv and MOOOOORE cakes and food. burp. and then there was the brunch at Hössi's granny, Jakobina.

And wow, so busy. on the 30th we had Hangikjöt at our place with Sigga and Jakob and Danny from Britain.

Then came new years eve with an AMAAAAAAAZING meal at Sigga and Jakob's new flat. we were served the best meal of the year, orange duck. that is.. duck with orange and orange sauce and wooooow. I cannot begin to describe how good it tasted. oh my GOD. with mashed sweet potatoes.. and caramelized potatoes, jakob's super sauce and and and. Starter was giant prawns in crumbs with a spicy coriander dip. mmmmmmm

And 2 sticky dark rich chocolate cakes for dessert.

WOOOOOOWWWWW I have eated so much and still the cupboard is full of chocolates and biscuits in our flat. dear oh dear...
